Product Notes:

Aviva Professional - Sourced from wild deep sea fish oil: Sardina pilchardus (sardine) (whole) and Engraulis encrasicolus (anchovy) (whole). Lemon-flavoured and specially formulated by Aviva, compare with others that often contain a large percentage of filler.

A source of omega-3 fatty acids for maintenance of good health, Aviva fish oil helps support cognitive health and brain function, maintain cardiovascular health, and reduce blood triglycerides.

In conjunction with conventional therapy, omega-3 fish oil can also help to reduce the pain of rheumatoid arthritis in adults.

In addition, recent studies have shown that taking 4 grams of fish oil a day (four of these capsules) can help fend off sarcopenia (muscle wasting) in older adults by beneficially affecting their body composition, muscle strength, and physical performance.

Note from Nathan Zassman: Our best capsule omega-3 supplement is the Aviva Professional High Potency Omega-3, with 990 mg of omega-3 in the ethyl-ester form.

Derived from sardines and anchovies, and molecularly distilled for purity, this is the form of omega-3 that has been used on the majority of published studies.

With this formula, only three per day are required if you are healthy. If you suffer from arthritis, cognitive issues, cardiovascular issues (high triglycerides), you should take four per day or more.

Non-cod liver oil fish oil supplements are widely regarded as not only completely safe to take during pregnancy, but also recommended, if you are not consuming enough mercury-free fish, both for neurodevelopmental reasons and to reduce the chances of pre-term delivery and certain pregnancy complications.
