Lakanto is natural GMO free sugar substitute blend of erythritol (from fermented sugar in corn) and Monk Fruit or luo han guo. Lakanto does not cause bloating, diarrhea, gas, and is a great way to avoid degenerative problems caused by using sugar.
Luo han guo (Siraitia grosvenorii) is also called the "longevity fruit" in China, as people who live in the region where it is grown often live to 100 years of age.
It became known as monkfruit because Buddhist Monks in remote mountain highlands of Asia had discovered this sweet fruit, leading to its use in elixirs.
