Info: 30 Vegi-Caps / 320 mg

AOR's Cogni-Q pairs vegan-friendly forms of both Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ) and Co-enzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in one of the highest dose supplements of its kind on the market. In addition to supporting the production of various hormones and enzymes and the metabolism of lysine (which is used to form collagen, an essential part of all connective tissue), Cogni-Q may be able to activate genes that boost mitochondrial function, while protecting the brain from age-related degeneration.

Product Notes:

Sometimes the smallest of parts can be among the most important for something's continued efficient operation, yet we barely know about them, much less think to try to keep maintained – such as the fuel filter in our car. In people, that can be the mitochondria: the tiny parts of our cells which use simple nutrients to produce the charged molecules which combine with oxygen to produce ATP, the energy which powers all our cells, and which also play important role in "apoptosis," or programmed cell death. Many chronic conditions appear to be linked to impaired mitochondrial functioning, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and heart failure, and aging has a role in this, as well, in that by the time we reach our 70s, the DNA in mitochondria themselves may show significantly more damage due to oxidative stress than the DNA in brain cells as a whole. And although there are mitochondria in all our cells, they're especially prevalent in organs which use a lot of energy, like the brain and the heart.

PyrroloQuinoline Quinone is an enzyme cofactor that helps protect mitochondria from oxidative stress and promotes the generation of new mitochondria within cells, and thus may help maintain the strong production of cellular energy, support heart health, and promote normal cognitive function. Similarly, CoQ10, which some have dubbed  "The Elixir of Life" also has critical roles in mitochondrial function and energy production and also functions as an antioxidant to protect the brain and heart from age-related degeneration.
