Vitamin B-1 (or Thiamine) is an essential nutrient with several main functions, including: as a coenzyme to help metabolize carbohydrates and lipids; as a factor in the production of hydrochloric acid, for digestion; and in some lesser understood role in maintaining nervous tissue.

Product Notes:

If there is a B-1 deficiency, taking this specific supplement may help support red blood cell (energy) and white blood cell (immunity) production, help normal growth, and help the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

Although there's plenty of Vitamin B-1 in wholesome diets, there may not be in the typical over-processed North American diet, and deficiencies can also be caused by some types of foods (with either a lot of thiaminase [such as raw freshwater fish or shellfish, ferns] or anti-thiamine factors [such as tea, coffee, or betel nuts]) and chronic health conditions (diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, alcoholism, HIV/AIDS, persistent vomiting such as in bulimia).

Each tablet contains: 100 mg Vitamin B-1 (as Thiamine HCl)

Non-medicinal ingredients: Cellulose, Stearic Acid (vegetable source), Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source).

Suggested Usage:

Adults: Take 1 tablet daily, with a meal.
