Product Notes:

Vitamin B12 has four different chemical forms: methylcobalamin, cyanocobalamin, hydroxocobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Each has its own unique functions; however, methylcobalamin is considered an enhanced form of B12, and it's the same form found in natural food supplies and is the most active and bioavailable form in our bodies.

An adequate amount of B12 is crucial in the body, as this vitamin plays a vital role in the formation of red blood cells as well as protects the nervous system. Synergistic folic acid (the man-made version of folate) has also been added to this formula since it aids in the maturation of red blood cells as well as aids in the development of the nervous system, and people with megaloblastic anemia may be deficient in both B12 and folate.

This product from Protocol for Life Balance is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and uses natural sweeteners and flavours.
