Several salt lamp bulb types are available, each have the screw-in brass-coloured fittings for the E12 Socket (like the old Christmas tree bulbs: the metal fitting is about 3/8th of an inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch deep, not including the tip).
Clear bulbs are generally the most suitable type for the traditional pink Himalayan Salt Lamps. We currently carry them in two wattages – 15W and 25W – which come in packages of four. The bulbs themselves are about 1-1/2 inches long past the metal fitting.
Two of these bulbs are coloured rather than clear, and are mainly intended for use with pure white salt lamps, to make them glow blue or green. These bulbs are about 3/4" in diameter, and 2-1/4" long, past the fitting.
Finally, you have somehow misplaced or damaged your power cord, or if the dimmer switch has ceased to work properly on it, you can also purchase a replacement power cord with a bulb socket assembly already attached, here. Its cord is 6 feet long, with a standard two-prong AC plug and an On-Off switch, and it can accommodate the kinds of smaller screw-in bulbs appropriate for salt lamps like the ones shown here, up to 75 watts in capacity.
Warnings:
To reduce the chance of being burned or the bulb shattering, turn off the power and allow the lamp to cool before removing from socket. Handle bulbs with care and do not scratch with metal or a sharp object.
