The Semler Julia 'Active Shoe' (our designation):
The Julia features grey-brown mesh leather, lace-up front and provides high level comfort and support for the active woman's lifestyle. The Semler Birgit 'Casual Stroller' (our designation):

This version of the Birgit (Semler actually produces many shoes and boots of that name: e.g., see below) is the perfect footwear for all of your daily needs. This German-made, calf suede leather, lace-up shoe is ideal for the busy woman who wants to be comfortable and stylish all day long. It has a supportive 25 mm (about 1.5 inch) rounded heel, leather lining, slip resistant and air cushioning sole, removable footbed (to accommodate orthotics), detailed stitching, shock absorption, and comes in "H" width (medium/wide). Finally, we also have two remaining pairs of two other types of Birgit lace-up shoes, both part of their Comfort Classics line.

Both are sensible, attractive walking shoes in the 'H' or Medium/Wide width with flat soles, which rise to 25mm (just under an inch) at the heel (which is rounded in the back). They are available in what is characterized as Navy/Off-white (but which is more of a grey, with only a hint of blue colour), which has a slightly sportier look; or in a solid Grey (with has slightly brown tones) suede, which can be worn with more types of clothing or to more types of settings. They are extremely light, but of high quality, so you can be comfortable walking in or wearing them all day, and they'll like prove to be your 'go-to' pair for everyday use for a good many summers.
