Info: 90 Veg. Capsules

Magtein is a patented form of magnesium, from Magnesium L-Threonate, that readily crosses the blood-brain barrier for utilization in the brain. Most magnesium compounds have low brain bioavailability. Magtein (MgT) is the only magnesium compound that has been shown to effectively raise the brain's magnesium levels in both young and aged animals.

Product Notes:

Magnesium is an essential co-factor for more than 300 enzymes involved in biosynthesis processes and energy metabolism. It plays an important role in many of the brain's functions, including protective ones, but only if it can get there: not all supplementary forms of it are very successful in reaching the brain.

Magtein can, and new studies are showing it has great promise not only in improving memory but also in relieving neuroinflammation from various causes (which can be associated with chronic pain and with impaired memory or anxious or depressive mood).

Scientists have recently evaluated the ability of both bioavailable organic and inorganic magnesium forms to raise brain magnesium levels. Magnesium concentration in the cerebrospinal fluid was evaluated following treatment with different magnesium compounds, including Magtein. After 24 days, Magtein was the only magnesium compound shown to raise the cerebrospinal fluid magnesium concentration with statistical significance. With regular use, it's been found to be able to improve synaptic density (the number of connections between neurons) and even to restore neuronal cells.

Magtein's resulting influence on higher-level cognitive skills or executive functions has also been clinically tested on those with mild age-related cognitive impairments, with results finding significantly improved cognitive ability, a reduction in the number of bad/foggy days, about a 20% improvement in speed in performing a complex task, with an overall improvement of nine years in "brain age" (with subjects previously performing at a 69 year-old 'brain age' performing at the level of 60 year-olds, after 12 weeks of use).
