Info: 60 Lozenges

These probiotic lozenges with a fresh minty taste contain Streptococcus salivarius BLIS K12, a naturally occurring microorganism which has been clinically shown to support oral and throat health by fighting the bacteria that cause bad breath and other oral and upper respiratory issues.

Product Notes:

Breath Biotics can help reduce halitosis (bad breath), when used in conjunction with proper oral hygiene.

Breath Biotics works by colonizing the oral cavity with BLIS K12, a beneficial bacteria that can "crowd out" other bacteria which may have been proliferating and causing a range of issues, including a white-coloured build-up on the tongue; painful gums; ear aches or infections (otitis media); throat infections (streptococcal pharyngeal); or even tonsillitis). It may also help prevent recurrences of throat infections if taken after a course of antibiotics.

Sugar-free Breath Biotics contains natural 'wintermint' (wintergreen/peppermint) flavour.

BLIS stands for Bacteriocin-Like Inhibitory Substances. BLIS™ and BLIS K12™ are registered trademarks of Blis Technologies Limited and the subject of USA patent no. 6773912.

Related Products: AOR has developed a new product with an identical dose of this same active ingredient delivered in a fun 'fizzy' format ideal for children: LavaRoxAlso see CulturedCare Probiotic Gum. A similar BLIS K12 formulation from NOW Foods marketed as 'OralBiotic' was previously available, but sales of that product have been discontinued in Canada.

Adult Dosages:

For general oral health, take 1 to 2 lozenges per day.

For prevention of sore throat due to infection, take 1 to 2 lozenges per day for 90 days.

To reduce halitosis, first use an antimicrobial mouthwash (such as chlorhexidine or cetylpyridinium chloride), followed by taking up to 4 lozenges a day, for a minimum of 14 days.

If you are on antibiotics, do not take these lozenges until at least 24 hours after your last dose of antibiotics is completed.

Child Dosages:

For prevention of sore throat due to infection, for children under 12 years of age, take 1 lozenge per day for 90 days; for children 12 years and older, take 1 to 2 lozenges per day for 90 days.

To reduce halitosis, following use of an antimicrobial mouthwash (such as chlorhexidine or cetylpyridinium chloride), children older than 9 years, take up to 4 lozenges a day for a minimum of 14 days; children 9 years and younger, take 1 lozenge a day for a minimum of 7 days.

Children under 6 years of age should be supervised (to endure they do not swallow it).
