The video below from Boiron USA featuring Dr. Gary Kracoff NMD, Reg Pharm. provides some information about its main uses here, and explains that even though it is derived from the seeds of the Strychnos nux-vomica tree which contain strychnine to start with, it has been processed to make these flavourless pellets completely safe. The second video gives some additional tips for avoiding or at least reducing hangovers.
Ingredients:
Nux Vomica 30 CH
Non-medicinal ingredients: Lactose, Sucrose.
"CH" is the abbreviation for the Hahnemannian centesimal scale, indicating that a medicine has been prepared using the serial dilution process invented by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann; the number appearing before the "CH" indicates the medicine's potency, or the number of times the main substance has been diluted.
Suggested Usage:
Adults, children and infants: Take 5 pellets, 3 times per day, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. (Each tube contains approximately 80 pellets: enough for 5 full days of treatment at the standard dosage.)
For children under the age of 2, dissolve one dose in a small amount of water before administering.
Keep under normal storage conditions (at 68-77°F / 20-25°C).
