Info: 450 ml; In Three Types; Available In-Store Only
Bone broth can not only provide the core of a comforting and nutritious soup, but its easily absorbed collagen protein, amino acids, and minerals can also have numerous health benefits. Of course, you can make it yourself, but it takes a full day, and many do not want to leave the stove unattended that long, or have the lingering odour. You can choose between three types: one made from Grass Fed Beef (raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones); one from Free Range Chickens (raised without the antibiotics); or for vegetarians, one made from Hemp Hearts and Red Lentil. Each type was simmered in small batches with organic vegetables, fresh herbs and spices to become tasty soups, and they are all Gluten, Dairy and GMO-Free.
Because these items need to be kept frozen until ready for use, they are not available for shipping. But if you are unable to come to our Winnipeg store (at 1224 St. James Street) to pick them up and are looking for something with the benefits of bone broth, please note we also stock two powdered supplements from Great Lakes that are available for order online: collagen hydrolysate and unflavoured gelatin.
The collagen protein in boned beef and chicken broths have been shown to help with: bone density; digestive disorders (like leaky gut); food allergies/ sensitivities; inflammation; injuries to soft tissues (ligaments, muscles, tendons); and promoting healthy skin, hair, and nails; and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. And while the beef type provides more protein, the chicken-based stock may have more infection-fighting and immune-boosting components such as the amino acid cysteine (which also thins mucus, which may help hasten the course of a cold). And pretty much any type of natural protein supplement taken right after a workout (including this plant-based type) can help lean muscle tissue repair and grow as efficiently as possible, particularly when it is delivered in a non-processed liquid form.

Simply thaw it out in advance (the unfrozen broth will keep up to 3 days in the fridge), bring it to a comfortable drinking temperature in a pot on the stove, pour it into a mug, and enjoy!
