This is a reusable, 100% cotton bag that's 12 inches (30cm) square when unfolded, with a drawstring on top to close the opening. It's designed for use in making thick, spreadable yogurt cheese, or Greek yogurt (strained yogurt), but you can also use it for traditional cheese-making and other food-related purposes.

It's easy to clean: simply empty the contents, and rinse the interior, then wash it in the washing machine.

Suggested Usage:

There are three options for producing a thicker yogurt/Greek yogurt:

A) Add a pouch ( = 7 g, 1/4 oz, or 3/4 to 1 tbsp) of unflavoured gelatin. Mix the gelatin into the cold milk until dissolved, then follow each subsequent step of the normal yogurt making procedure.

B) Adding milk powder will also produce thicker consistency yogurt. Add 1/2 cup of milk powder per litre of cooled milk, and stir well to dissolve the milk powder.

C) You can also strain the yogurt made without added milk powder or gelatin, once it has been cooled down to stop the incubation. Use a suspended cotton bag such as the current product above a container. Let it strain in the fridge for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
