Iron is one of the most important minerals for good health, and is used in many bodily functions, including synthesis of DNA, transport of electrons, and, perhaps most importantly, the production of red blood cells (hemoglobin) for circulating oxygen throughout the body.

Product Notes:

Often people do not receive the recommended daily dosage of iron in their diet: 45mg/day, for adults (from any sources, including food). This formulation provides an excellent type of iron in a very bioavailable form to help make up for dietary shortages.

A deficiency in iron can result in a condition called anemia, or a lack of red blood cells – the essential oxygen carriers in the body. This can cause feelings of tiredness, shortness of breath, and overall weakness and listlessness, and may also interfere with your sleep. Taking Ferro-C can help to raise your iron levels, although it may take a little while to build up. When you notice an increase in energy levels, which often occurs after only a few days of supplementing, this is an indication that your iron is working.

Iron deficiencies (which can be detected by physicians by measuring the ferretin levels in the blood) are also associated with restless legs syndrome, and some studies have found that can be alleviated somewhat with oral supplements, as well.

Latest product label differs slightly from the one shown. This product has also been marketed under the name Ferronyl Iron.
