As its name implies, Ultra Preventive 50+ is a new version of Douglas Laboratories' best-selling type of antioxidant-enriched multi-vitamins and minerals geared especially to supporting healthy aging in those past the age of fifty.

As with its Ultra Preventive X predecessors, Douglas Labs has selected the most bioavailable forms of nutrients needed to support not only general health but also energy levels and cognitive functions and blended them into just the right proportions for this fifty-plus version, which fine-tunes the formula for the slightly different needs of older adults.
One area those aged fifty years old and up may need more help with is in maintaining high CoQ10 levels (a substance which has important antioxidant and energy production functions), since that tends to decline as we age, so that has been added here. Another area is in protecting our eyesight, so this formula provides several types of important carotenoids to help combat the effects of aging there: lutein, zeaxanthin and lycopene.
We may also become subject to cognitive decline as we pass through middle age, so Ultra Preventive 50+features a proprietary blend of blueberry and grape fruit extracts called Neurophenol which is being actively studied in a series of animal and human trials and has shown promising results in improving working memory and recall in otherwise healthy adults.

These tablets feature Douglas Laboratories 'EZ' Easy-to-Swallow technology; they're smaller-sized and have a natural vanilla-scented coating.
This product is Dairy Free, Gluten-Free, and Soy Free and contains no GMO ingredients.

Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take 2 tablets daily with a meal, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Warnings:
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to using Douglas Labs Ultra Preventive 50+ if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you taking blood pressure medication, or have a history of non-melanoma skin cancer. People sensitive to nicotinic acid may experience flushing of the skin that is generally mild and transient.
