Manuka honey, which is made from the pollen from the flowers of Mānuka trees or shrubs in New Zealand, is well-known for its healing properties. But it turns out there are active compounds in the leaves of those plants, as well, which can be extracted as an essential oil with both topical and aromatherapy applications, much like Tea Tree Oil.

Product Notes:
100% Pure Essential Oil
Manuka Oil is a clear yellow liquid extracted from the fragrant leaves of a small evergreen tree in New Zealand through steam distillation. Its aroma could be described as fresh, herbaceous, and spicy, and some maintain that it can be a calming and stabilizing tonic when you are feeling nervous or agitated, and that it can stave off the subjective feeling of fatigue even when you're physically worn out.
With a wide range of analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, antihistaminic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, and expectorant properties, it can be used to treat colds, flus, sore throats and other respiratory tract infections, when its vapours are inhaled.
Its topical uses include combating skin infections and inflammations such as acne, eczema, pimples, psoriasis, or warts; soothing blisters, itches, or superficial wounds; or simply being an emollient / moisturizing treatment. It can also be incorporated into toothpastes or mouthwashes to combat bad breath, gingivitis, or cold sores. It can even be used to help repel mosquitoes and other insect pests!
