Info: 1 Green Wash Ball
Laundry detergents can take a real toll on our environment, not only with their packaging and transportation, but also their runoff, which can cause excessive algae growth in our lakes which, starves fish and other aquatic life of oxygen. They also necessitate the use of a lot more water: the rinse cycle, to flush away their suds. Some of them also precipitate allergic reactions on our skin, and may contain chemicals which may be hazardous to our own health. So it only makes sense to seek an alternative.

Product Notes:
A Laundry Ball can greatly reduce our reliance on detergents by cleaning our towels, sheets, or clothes through a combination of mechanical force with its exterior (by literally beating the dirt and grime off as it bounces around the washing machine) and ceramic beads releasing negative ions in its interior (which is thought to be able to remove oily residue and possibly help kill bacteria and decontaminate).
The Laundry Ball is about the size of a large grapefruit. Its exterior is made of PVC thermoplastic, and it has specially formulated mineral pellets inside, like the ones that can be found in some shower head or related water filters. To use it, you simply drop it in the washer along with your load.

Suggested Usage:
Separate white fabrics from coloured fabrics. Place the Laundry Ball in your washing machine with your laundry and proceed as you would usually, and wash - without detergent. (You can also skip the rinse cycle, if your machine permits.)
Do not leave the Laundry Ball in the washing machine, after it is finished - remove it, to let it dry.
For maximum efficiency, place the Laundry Ball in the daylight for one hour per week (based on one wash per day).
Of course, it will not last forever, but for a rough indication, a comparable product advises their version can be used several hundred times.
