Reliefibre offers a solution for people with chronic gut issues seeking a better way to obtain their daily fibre needs without the unpleasant symptoms often present with other common forms of fibre.

Product Notes:

Many fibre supplements (including inulin, made from chicory) have a high FODMAP content, which stands for "fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols". They can be quite difficult to digest and may lead to gut cramps, bloating, gas, and diarrhea or constipation.

Natural Factors Reliefibre is LOW in those fermentable carbs, because it's made from guar gum: the fibre from guar beans that's often used as a food thickener, except here they have been broken down into smaller pieces to become Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum (or PHGG). Studies have shown PHGG can bring significant symptom relief to Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Natural Factors Organic Low FODMAP Reliefibre is sourced from non-GMO and organic guar beans to provide gentle relief of constipation, improve bowel regularity, and/or relieve minor symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It functions as a prebiotic: feeding good gut bacteria and increasing the amount of beneficial short chain fatty acids such as butyrate, which play a role in reducing gut inflammation, keeping the integrity of the intestinal barrier integrity, and reducing the risk of colon cancer.

Its other benefits include maintaining balanced pH levels, and regulating satiety (how full you feel, which can help you eat less) and blood sugar levels (or more accurately, glycemic response and glycemic index), when taken with food.

It comes either in a pure unflavoured form (which is completely tasteless, colourless and odourless), or in a delicious tropical flavour. Both types mix easily with water, juice, or indeed foods while still retaining the therapeutic properties of the fibre (even at high temperatures), and are suitable for anyone from eight years old and up.

Ingredients:

Each 5 g (for the Unflavoured type) or 6.7 gram serving (for the Tropical) contains:

5 g of Reliefibre™ (organic partially hydrolyzed guar gum)

Non-medicinal ingredients in the Tropical flavoured type: Organic tropical flavours (pineapple, orange, mango, coconut), citric acid, organic Oryza sativa (rice) hull powder, L-malic acid, organic stevia leaf extract.

Suggested Usage:

For IBS or Diarrhea:
Adults: Add 1 scoop (= 5 g for Unflavoured, 6.7 for Tropical) to 250 ml water one to two times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

For children above the age of 8: Add 1 scoop (= 5 g for Unflavoured, 6.7 for Tropical) to 250 ml water only once daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

For Constipation, Stool Modulation, or to help reduce Glycemic Response and Glycemic Index:
Adults: Add 1 scoop (= 5 g for Unflavoured, 6.7 for Tropical) or 2 scoops to 250 ml water one to two times daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

For children between the ages of 12 and 16: Add only 1 scoop (= 5 g for Unflavoured, 6.7 for Tropical) to 250 ml water only once daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

No refrigeration required. Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.

Warnings:

Do not use Natural Factors Relief Fibre if you are experiencing a sudden change in bowel habits that has persisted for more than 2 weeks, or if you have undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or if you have failed to defecate following the use of another laxative product. 3) you have symptoms such as: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever (as these could be signs of abdominal constipations of the gastrointestinal tract, disease of the oesophagus and/or the superior opening of the stomach (cardia), potential or existing intestinal blockage, paralysis or the intestinal, megacolon, faecal impaction, inflamed bowel or appendicitis).

Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, or if laxative effect does not occur within seven days.
