Info: Small peeler for use by index finger or thumb
There's no need to use or clog up your fingernails to enjoy a fresh orange, with this (or to have to get a knife to start to unpeel one, if your nails are too short). This clever little device is designed to peel citrus fruit, including oranges, grapefruits, lemons, or limes. It is made of bright orange plastic, as shown – very apeeling.
The Norpro Citrus Peeler is essentially a ring for the index finger or thumb with sort of a curved surf board attached. That 'surf board' has a little shark-fin hook below it to carve a series of vertical lines into the peel to section it (but it will only go up to half a centimeter deep, so as not to penetrate the fruit below), and then you use the end of the board to pry those peel sections away (as shown in the second product photo).
Dimensions: 2" x 1.25" x .5" (5 x 3 x 1.25cm)
Inner diameter of holding ring: 3/4 of an inch (nearly 2 cm).
