Product Notes:

Lecithin can be thought of as a cross between two B-vitamins (choline and inositol) and an essential fatty acid (linoleic acid, which contains both Omega-6 and Omega-3), which can each play important roles in the body. (E.g., choline is a precursor of acetylcholine, which is involved in many processes including memory and learning; inositol can help control anxiety (and may even help regrow hair!); and linoleic acid may be able to help reduce blood pressure).

Lecithin is actually present in many parts of our body: not only in the sheath or protective coating that covers every nerve and muscle cell, but also in the lining of our intestines and organs (making it more difficult for fats to stick to them), and in our brain (making up 30% of its composition). Research indicates it can improve blood lipids, reduce inflammation, and help neurological disorders in some populations; at least one study has found it can reduce LDL levels and total cholesterol levels; another found it can improve immune function in people with diabetes.

The lecithin in these granules has been extracted from the oil of non-genetically modified soybeans which have been Identity Preserved (IP) to guarantee they come from seedstock certified as Non-GMO.
