Info: 120 Veg. Capsules
Maqui berries grow in the wild on a certain type of evergreen tree in Chile formally known as Aristotelia chilensis. They're also called "Chilean wineberries," since they've been made into a fermented tonic called "chicha" by the indigenous Mapuche people for a long time. They're gaining a reputation as an antioxidant-rich superfood, and they're similar in appearance to another -- blueberries -- except they're dark purple, due to their pigment called anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties.
Product Notes:Maqui berries are also a great source of vitamin C, iron and fiber. Freeze-drying preserves their nutritional benefits, and they come in a convenient capsule form, which doesn't need to be reconstituted or mixed with water like some powders.
