Cacao "paste" is a bit of a misnomer, in that the end result is actually solid at room temperature. It's simply a dense concentrate of whole cacao beans which were ground up and pressed at low temperatures to become a liquid (without the use of any chemicals or solvents), which then solidifies, retaining all their original nutrients. (Cacao beans are a source of energy and contain calcium; essential minerals such as iron; fiber; plus a host of antioxidants.) This rich, thick artisanal Cacao paste has a rich aroma and an intense taste, and can either be eaten straight away as what it is -- as (unsweetened) 100% dark chocolate -- or be combined with other wholesome ingredients to make your own chocolate bars, or in any type of baking, desserts, or smoothies or other types or beverages which call for first rate chocolate.

Refrigeration not required. Store in a cool, dry, dark place. To make your own artisanal chocolate bars, combine equal parts of Cacao Paste and Cacao Butter and melt them at low temperatures, add Yacon Syrup, and your preferred spices, nuts or raisins, place into a mold or an ice cube tray, and refrigerate.
