The extra food energy we consume is stored in the form of fat, in layers of cells called adipose tissue. Our bodies draw upon this supply in times of deprivation or extra energy expenditure. But for most of us who don't fast or expend extraordinary amounts of energy, it just accumulates beneath our skin – especially as "spare tires" around our hips or middle. To help "deflate" them, this supplement combines two types of clinically researched combinations of herbal extracts which have been shown to be able to help reduce body weight and maintain a healthy abdominal circumference.
LOWAT (LI10903F) is a proprietary blend of two well-established Ayurvedic herbal extracts, from the leaves of Piper betle (a vine native to South Asia) and the seeds of Dolichos biflorus (a tall flowering plant native to both Asia and Africa; also known as horse gram). A clinical study showed LOWAT reduced the participants' weight by an average of 2.5 kg more than the placebo group after 8 weeks of use when accompanied by a standard diet (2000 calories a day) and a moderate exercise program (a 30 minute walk for five days a week). Alternatively, a different study also showed that it could help prevent weight gain in among obese women who did not modify their diet or activity.
Oligonol is a combination of lychee extract (a tropical fruit tree) and green tea leaves. The original long-chain polyphenol polymers in the tea leaves are converted to shorter-chain monomers and oligomers or low-molecular-weight polyphenols making them more bioavailable for great antioxidant support (including in the fat cells). A clinical study found in significantly decreased abdominal circumference, body weight and visceral fat volume after 10 weeks, compared to the placebo group.

300 mg LOWAT (which contains 120 mg Betel (Piper betle) Leaf Extract (7:1, 840 mg dried equivalent) and 180 mg Catjang cowpea (Dolichos biflorus) Seed Extract (12:1, 2160 mg dried equivalent))
16.7 mg Oligonol Camellia sinensis leaf/Litchi chinensis Fruit Pericarp Extract (providing 10% monomeric phenols)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Hypoallergenic plant cellulose, vegetable capsule (hypromellose, water), ascorbyl palmitate, silica.

Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take 1 capsule three times daily with meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.

Warnings:
Do not use ADL 2 if you are pregnant or trying to conceive. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to using Pure Encapsulations ADL II if you are breastfeeding, have a liver disorder or an iron deficiency. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with green tea extract-containing products have been reported. Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness or loss of appetite.
