Sometimes children as young as three years old want to have pretty-coloured nails like they've seen on their parents or older siblings or in magazines or movies, or parents may want to do this for a special occasion like a wedding or a party. But naturally, we wouldn't want to put something on a young child that had harmful chemicals in it they might ingest if they chewed their nails, nor something that required a very smelly chemical (and consequently possibly plenty of resistance) to remove it. These water-soluble nail polishes made especially for little ones are probably the world's safest nail polish.
Made in Europe, where there are stringent safety standards, Snails polishes are hypoallergenic; easily washable with just soap and water; have a gentle fragrance; and have no harmful chemicals or toxic substances. They are offered in a variety of vibrant colours which create a high quality gloss, and are eco friendly -- packaged in recyclable bottles and boxes, and with no animal testing.
SNAILS polishes are made of three safe, simple, main ingredients: water, acrylic polymer and non-toxic colorants. They're completely free of these chemicals or noxious substances often found in regular polishes: camphor, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, parabens and toluene.
To help it stay on from playtime all the way to bedtime and more, these steps are recommended:
1. Remove any existing polish and buff the nails. 2. If the nails are dry or parched, that may lead to chipping or streaking; to stop that, simply apply a drop of jojoba oil to the nail bed, and buff.
3. Wash hands thoroughly to remove any residue or buffing dust.
4. Dry hands and nails thoroughly.
5. Apply 1 to 2 coats of polish. Allow roughly 3 minutes of drying time between coats to avoid streaks.
There is no need for a base coat.
To remove the polish, because it is completely water-soluble, no harsh solvent-based remover needed: you can effortlessly remove it with simple soap and water.
