Info: 8 Spots in a Pack; Each Spot Can be Used for a Full 12-hour Day

Stay safe in the sun with a simple spot check! If you or your children are going to be out in the sun and want to stay safe, sunscreen isn't just something you slather on once and forget about - you need to reapply it every two hours or so (depending on the product and conditions). But when you're at the beach or pool, it's not always easy to keep track of the time. These small dots will do that for you, and indicate when the sunscreen is no longer providing adequate protection.

Product Notes:

SPOTMYUV Detection Stickers go on just like a small circular Band-Aid, and transform from being purple coloured to start with, to becoming transparent when you saturate them with sunscreen and expose them to the sun. Over time, they turn purple again when the active protection wears off, to give a vivid yet still discreet visual reminder of when it is time to reapply.

Composition:

Each SPOT My UV sticker consists of three layers: a Hypoallergenic & Latex Free Adhesive to apply to your skin, on one side; a Plastic Sticker coated with Dermatrue Patented Skin-Like Technology, on the other, to absorb the sunscreen and the sun's rays; and a Non-Toxic, UV-Sensing Dye or Ink in-between, to indicate if or how well the sunscreen is working.

Suggested Usage:

SPOTMYUV UV Detection Scale

Use a single sticker on a single person for a whole day. It's good for either 12 hours of continuous use, or 6 reapplications of sunscreen (whichever comes first).

That is, you don't need to put on a new sticker for each new 'coat' of sunscreen: you can keep reapplying a new layer of sunscreen to the spot along with your skin at the appropriate intervals, and the spot will keep transforming from purple to clear and back to purple like it is supposed to. You cannot reuse them beyond the initial day, however (even if you only used it a few hours that day).

There are four easy steps for their use, which will soon become second nature:

1) Stick it on the skin

Remove a SPOT from the sleeve, and, before you apply any lotion/sunscreen, lift the triangular tab, and apply the sticker to a clean, flat, dry, hair-free area of the skin that will be exposed to sun and that you'll be able to see. This might be on the upper part your own arm, such as at the shoulder you might get a vaccine, or above the shoulder blades of your child. Then pull the tab away and press the SPOT firmly in place.

2) Cover just the SPOT with sunscreen, and wait 30 seconds for it to absorb on its own, before gently rubbing it in.

Then go ahead and cover all the exposed skin with generous amount of sunscreen, like you would normally do.

3) Expose the SPOT to the Sun

Orient yourself or the person wearing so that the SPOT faces direct sunlight for at least one minute to enable it to turn clear. (If it does not, your sunscreen may not have a high enough SPF factor to begin with, or it may be expired, or you may not have put enough on the sticker.)

4) Watch for Purple & Reapply

Enjoy your time in the sun, and watch for the SPOT to turn purple to tell you when to reapply the sunscreen (and repeat steps 2 & 3).
