Product Notes:

Thayers Slippery Elm Lozenges have been providing relief for sore throats and hoarse voices for nearly two centuries! They're made the inner bark of the Slippery Elm tree, which gets its name from the fact that it gets slick and turns into a gel when mixed with water. Slippery Elm lozenges act as a demulcent: they produce a protective film over the vocal cords and mucous membranes of the mouth and throat as you swallow while you suck on them, which soothes those tissues and can restore your voice.

Ingredients:

Natural Cherry Slippery Elm Lozenges (NPN: 80023845):
Ingredients per lozenge:
Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra, Aged bark): 150 mg
Other ingredients: Dextrose, Magnesium Stearate (as a binder), Natural Cherry Flavour, Sucrose.

The Original Slippery Elm Bark (NPN: 80023845): also has 150 mg of Slippery Elm Bark in a soothing base of Dextrose and Sucrose (a natural plant-derived sweetener derived from corn), with magnesium stearate as a binder.

Both types are free of gluten, lactose, sodium, preservatives and menthol, and were not tested on animals.

Suggested Usage:

For sore or irritated throats or hoarseness, dissolve 2 lozenges slowly in the mouth, every hour or two, as needed, up to a maximum of:
- 12 lozenges per day, for adults (age 19 and up);
- 10 lozenges per day, for adolescents aged 14 to 18; or,
- no more than 6 lozenges per day, for adolescents aged 12 to 13.

For orators and vocalists, dissolve one in your mouth before you intend to sing, do public speaking, or otherwise use your voice extensively; then take one afterwards to soothe the membranes and heal any oral abrasions.

Store in a cool, dry place.
