As its name suggest, this Zippity 2-Step corkscrew was designed for waiters, to make it extremely fast and easy, as well as durable. It combines a cutter to remove the foil cap with an actual corkscrew, of course. You flip down the foil cutter to use it, then it automatically retracts out of the way when you open up the levers to get ready to pry out the cork, which saves five seconds in each operation, and the spiral corkscrew itself has a non-stick coating, so turns up to 5 seconds faster than most.
The Waiter's Corkscrew unit looks much like this when folded up in its package, except the one available here is black (as pictured above) rather than red-handled, and the Canadian packaging is slightly different.
The company (Metrokane, a maker of wine accessories, including the well-known Rabbit line of openers) even offers a Lifetime Warranty, as indicated on the package.
Suggested Usage:1) Open retractable Foil Cutter, and remove foil cap from bottle.
2) Open levers to automatically close foil cutter.
3) Open corkscrew.
4) Turn Corkscrew fully into cork.
5) Place Upper Lever on rim of bottle, and pull the body/handle of the unit up.
6) If cork is not yet out of the bottle, use the Lower Lever to complete the removal.
