Product Notes:

Wobenzym PS provides nutritional support for healthy joints and aids in sports injury recuperation.

Wobenzym Strengths

There are three different strengths available; this one, Wobenzym PS (Professional Strength), provides twice the enzymatic strength of the original Wobenzym N formula, while the new Wobenzym Plus tablets contain 50% more than this PS formula.

Three Wobenzym PS tablets are equal to two of the Wobenzym Plus tablets. All three Wobenzym products are safe in the correct dosage, and are backed by several decades of clinical research.

Trusted, Researched, and Used Worldwide

For decades, Wobenzym has been the trusted name in systemic enzyme support. Backed by years of clinical research and published studies, Wobenzym PS supplies a blend of enzymes from both plants and animals to support immune function, joint, muscle and tendon health, as well as normal wound healing.

It was first developed and sold in Germany, and has been distributed by several different companies in North America over the years, including Douglas Laboratories and Seroyal.

Systemic enzymes work directly in the body after they are absorbed and are not intended to aid in digestion. Wobenzym PS is enteric coated to ensure that the enzymes are protected during digestion and are not broken down in the stomach.

Wobenzym Formulas

Differences Between Wobenzym Formulas

Wobenzym PS provides health professionals with a unique blend of enzymes in an enhanced formula with twice the strength of the active ingredients bromelain, trypsin and rutin, compared to the original Wobenzym (type N). A daily serving of Wobenzym PS is thus three tablets, twice a day.

Supporting Science:

"The Safety and Efficacy of an Enzyme Combination in Managing Knee Osteoarthritis Pain in Adults: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial." Arthritis. 2015; PMID: 25802756

Conclusion: Wobenzym may be as effective as the NSAID diclofenac in the management of chronic OA of the knee when administered for 12 weeks, with a similar safety profile to placebo, although further study is needed. Use of Wobenzym reduced the reliance on paracetamol (acetaminophen) for additional pain relief. Wobenzym may be a safe and effective option for the daily management of long-term joint pain.
