Info: Holding Tube with Blade to Slide Right Through it
A lot of people may like the taste of grapes or cherry tomatoes well enough, but find it a bit off-putting to have to put a whole one in the mouth and make it burst, and they can be devilishly difficult and messy to slice quantities of them in half to add to salads or pasta. At long last, the Progressive International Corp. has brought forward a very clever device to make that as easy as can be: a combination tube with an easy grip handle on its side and a removable 'guillotine' blade assembly which slides right through it.
Just fill the 8-inch long, 1-1/4 inch diameter tube with whatever you want sliced (whether raw cherry tomatoes or grapes, or large pitted olives, or even wieners or smokies; fit the collar of the blade assembly onto it; pull it down (or across, if you hold the unit horizontally); and Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah! -- you're done. (Just pour the sliced contents out, if you were slicing horizontally, as in the video.)
The Serrated blades, which are concealed while slicing, are Stainless Steel.
The tube is made of shatterproof Tritan™ plastic; and the blade assembly and handle grip are made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) thermoplastic polymer, and TPE (Thermoplastic elastomers) -- all BPA free and dishwasher safe.
