1 Micron Micro-Klean RT PreFilter (RT19Y16G20NN)
This 19-1/2 inch long 2-5/16" diameter depth filter cartridge (Double Open End, No Gasket - with a flat top and bottom) is made entirely of polypropylene to provide consistent and efficient particle reduction, increased surface life, and a low initial drop in pressure. This material complies with food and beverage regulations for use in potable water applications, and the filter is made without adhesives, binders, surfactants or lubricants, and is grooved to provide more surface area to increase its life and how much it captures. The rigid, sturdy construction of these 3M cartridges enables them to withstand and continue to function properly in the presence of water pressure variations, and because their material was extruded continuously during their manufacture, there are no bond joints to break. Of course, these filters fit into certain Prefilter Housings produced by 3M, such as the Model CFS12T (available separately) that can be used to extend the life of the main Aqua-Pure AP903 Whole House System filters, but would also work in other filter housings, including from other brands, accommodating those dimensions. This system reduces CTO, sediment, and a number of select VOCs (Benzene, P-Dichlorobenzene & Toxaphene), as well as lead, and 99.95% of filterable parasitic protozoan cysts from your cold water supply delivered right to the sink.
Warnings:
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. System certified for cyst prediction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts.
Install on COLD water lines only.
To reduce the risk associated with property damage due to water leakage, read and follow use instructions before installation and use of these systems.
Installation and Use MUST comply with all provincial or state and local plumbing codes.
Protect from freezing. Drain filter when temperatures from below 40 degrees F (4.4C).
Do not install these systems if water pressure exceeds 125 psi (862 kPa). If your water pressure exceeds 125 psi, you must install a pressure limiting value. Contact a plumbing professional if you are uncertain how to check your water pressure.
Do not install where water hammer conditions may occur. If water hammer conditions exist you much install a water hammer arrester. Contact a plumbing professional if you are uncertain how to check for this condition.
The disposable filter cartridge must be replaced every six months, or at the specified service cycle.
