Airpura produces about ten types of portable models to target different sorts or levels of pollutants, with many of these having further variations on some of their components.
The G series include a special type of activated carbon made in Germany to complement the existing Airpura design features to minimize introducing new odors. (i.e., being made with a metal rather than a plastic case; with the electrical parts sealed off in a separate chamber; with pressure seals to ensure integrity of filter chamber; with gaskets made of felt rather than rubber, to prevent rubber off-gassing; and with the motor being situated away from the air flow, so the filtered air won't reacquire any impurities from the motor itself (as happens with many types of air purifiers).
It's available in a choice of case colours; amount of carbon (with the standard models providing an impressive 18 pounds of it in a 2-inch thick layer, and the DLX model a whopping 26 pounds in a 3-inch layer); and motors (with the 700 series being able to operate quieter at the lowest speed and filter more air at the highest speed).
• Designed for removing airborne particles, chemicals, and gases, including Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which can be emitted by household cleaners, chemicals, paints, and materials such as carpets, flooring, or wallboards.
• Effective for rooms or indoor spaces up to 2000 square feet (assuming an 8 foot high ceiling)
• 360° air distribution
• True HEPA filter traps 99.97% of airborne particles down to the 0.3 micron level, with a filtration surface of 40 sq. ft.
• Long Lasting Filters: the HEPA filter lasts three to five years with regular use; the carbon filters last one to two years.
• Pre-filters can be vacuumed from the exterior of the unit to extend their life, and should be changed every 12 months (depending on use)
• Airpura Limited Warranty: 5 years parts, 10 years labor.

Motor Options & Filter Upgrades
There are two upgrade options available for this Airpura model, here:
* a DLX carbon filter, which uses a 3-inch deep German Activated Charcoal filter for a total of 26 pounds of odor-absorbing carbon rather than a 2-inch deep, 18 pound filter; and,
* an improved motor in the 700 series version, which not only has improved airflow (up to 635 cubic feet per minute on the highest speed, compared to 560 cfm for the 600 series) but also operates much quieter at the lowest fan speed: from 30.2 db on low fan speed (at 6 feet away) up to 63.0 db on high for the 700 series, compared to from 34.2 to 57.2 db for the 600 series.
