The Airpura UV600 Air Purifier provides at least three levels of protection: not only from airborne particles, chemicals, odors, and even tobacco smoke (thanks to its True HEPA Filter, and 18 lbs. of activated Carbon, and an optional TarBarrier prefilter), but also micro-organisms, thanks to its 20 Watt UV germicidal lamp which is positioned inside the filter chamber, to sterilize the microbes as they are trapped on the filters.
Airpura Limited Warranty: 5 years parts; 10 years labour.
Long Lasting Filters:
* UV Germicidal lamps will be effective for up to 10,000 hours
* Airpura recommends this carbon filter be replaced every 2 years, depending on use.
* Airpura recommends replacing this (True) HEPA Filter with Metal Caps about every five years.
* Pre-filters can be vacuumed from the exterior of the unit and should be changed every 12 months, depending on use.
