The Corn Butterer is made of durable plastic is ~3 inches high, and a little under 2 inches square on the outside, with a movable platform within it.
You take the platform out, put a 1.5" square stick or section of butter in, put the pushing platform on it, and when you want to apply the butter, simply remove the cap at the bottom, set the unit over the corn and draw it across while rotating the cob with your other hand, and push down on the shelf a bit with your forefinger to keep advancing the butter to the opening at the bottom.
Simply replace the cap when you're done, and it can stand upright on the shelf or in the fridge until it's needed again.
