The antioxidant properties of beta-carotene and proanthocyanidins (which are found in blueberries) help protect healthy cells against oxidative and free radical damage. In addition, zinc is an essential component in several metabolic pathways in the body, including production of healthy immune cells. Finally, elderberry and honeysuckle both contribute to immune-protective functions in the body.

Both of my children are asthmatic and @ 13 and 9 years of age respectfully we have spent a lot of time and resources searching how to make their breathing easier. They are both on numerous puffers and pills but life is still not easy.
My daughter is what doctors call "fragile" meaning any time a cold or flu comes though school, she will catch it and the asthma goes out of control. In her short 9 years she has been hospitalized 7 times with pneumonia.

Vita-Kids Immune Ingredients:
Per 5 ml teaspoon:
1,500 mcg (2,500 I.U.) Beta-Carotene (Vitamin A) (from Blakeslea trispora)
3 mg Zinc (from zinc gluconate)
150 mg Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) Fruit
100 mg European Elder (Sambucus nigra) Fruit (16:1) (1.6g dried equivalent)
30 mg Japanese Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica) Flower
Non-medicinal ingredients: Purified water, glycerin, stevia, xanthan gum, citric acid, potassium sorbate and natural grape flavour.
Does not contain yeast, wheat gluten, soy protein, milk/dairy, corn, sodium, sugar, starch or artificial colouring.
Suggested Usage:
Children (6 years or older): Take one teaspoon (1 tsp) per day, or as advised by a healthcare professional. Take with food. Take a few hours or after taking any other medications. Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening.
