Crucial for the health of bones and teeth, Vitamin D also has roles in the immune system, with deficiencies appearing to increase the susceptibility both to infections and autoimmune diseases. But, as we can't always produce enough of this "sunshine vitamin" ourselves (especially at northern latitudes, or as we get older) or get enough of it in our diets (especially if we avoid dairy) or if we take certain medications which deplete it, some may find supplementation to be necessary.
We stock this product with the standard Metagenics D3 Liquid label, which is geared more to adults. However, they also produce one with identical contents under the "MetaKids" label, with kid-friendly graphics. Both have a pleasant natural mint flavour, and the vitamin D is delivered in a base of MCT oil, since vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, and this enhances its ability to pass through the stomach and get absorbed in the intestinal tract.

Each 0.026 ml drop (of either type) contains:
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol): 25 mcg (1,000 IU)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Medium-chain triglycerides, peppermint essential oil, spearmint oil, and rosemary extract.
These products are non-GMO and gluten-free.
Suggested Usage:
