Bladderwrack can help treat goiter (also spelled goitre), a painful swelling in the neck which can arise when the pituitary gland has to produce a lot of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) to try to recover as much iodine from the blood as it can, when there isn't enough being ingested. Other benefits can include strengthening nails and supporting hair growth, and being a natural mild diuretic, which helps stop you from retaining water, enabling you to flush more toxins from your system.
