This convenient Vitamin D3 Spray produced by Garden of Life in collaboration with Alicia Silverstone furnishes an ample 1,000 IU dose of an effective vegan form of Vitamin D in a yummy vanilla flavour.
Even though we produce it when exposed to the sun, many of us don't get outdoors enough during the daylight hours, or we're all covered up (including with UV protection), or we live in northern latitudes, or we have very dark skin tone, or our ability to synthesize it diminishes as we age. In such cases, supplementation is often advised, not only for the bones' sake, but also because Vitamin D deficiencies have been associated with muscle weakness, gum disease, depression, and more.
