Product Notes:
The precursor to glutathione (GSH), NAC is an important antioxidant which helps with immune system, liver detoxification, and lung functions, and some studies show supplementing with NAC can replenish glutathione stores in tissues better than supplementing with GSH itself, which our cells may not absorb as well.
NAC has had several uses for its protective effects, including at least three in hospital settings: as an antidote for acetaminophen overdoses; and to reduce the negative effects of certain cancer medications, and of the radioactive dyes or contrast agents used in some MRIs. It has also been used and/or studied for its ability to moderate the effects of the accumulation of heavy metals such mercury and cadmium in the kidneys and liver; and to relieve the symptoms of chronic bronchitis; and to reduce the inflammatory effects of certain respiratory viral infections, especially in those with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Ingredients:
Each capsule contains:
Either 600 or 900 mg N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (L-alpha-Acetamido-beta-mercaptopropionic acid) (depending on type)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Vegetarian capsule: (hypromellose, water), ascorbyl palmitate.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take one capsule per day with a meal containing protein, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner. Store sealed in a cool, dry area.
Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use Pure Encapsulations NAC if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney stones, or if you are taking nitroglycerin or antibiotics.
