Info: 30 Capsules (600 mg each)

Reactivate your life. Sea "cucumbers" may be shaped like those vegetables, but they're actually marine invertebrates like starfish or sea urchins. They're literally brainless animals, with an amazing survival trait that can also benefit those who consume them: the ability to completely regenerate their internal organs (which they sometimes expel to divert their predators). Some of the same factors which enable them to not only survive that but grow them back within a few weeks are what makes their bodies good for people, too!

Product Notes:

100% Canadian East Coast Wild Caught Sea Cucumber

Bêche provides a powerful dose of concentrated Sea Cucumber, which has long been recognized as a natural source of amino acids (which we can use to produce proteins to rebuild muscles) and antioxidants.

Sea Cucumbers are also rich in valuable and essential nutrients (such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, magnesium, calcium, zinc, and iron).

Researchers are finding they have a number or bio-active compounds including Cerebroside, EPA/DHA, Fucosylated Chrondoitin Sulfate, Frondoside A, Phenolics, and Saponins, which provide anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, anti-angiogenic (preventing tumours from growing their own blood vessels) immunomodulatory, and other beneficial properties.

Sea Cucumbers are consumed as a food in some regions (the flesh is boiled, dried, or smoked, and used in soups), where it tends to be known as Bêche-de-mer or Trepang. But they can be quite, well, cumbersome to cook properly, plus some types of preparation can ruin the efficacy of some of their active compounds, so capsules are a much easier and superior way of taking them in.

Bêche Nutraceutical (whose parent company, Ocean Pride Fisheries Ltd. of Nova Scotia, has a permit to do sustainable harvesting of Sea Cucumber in certain regions reserved for them alone) has developed a dehydrating and processing method that preserves the immune-boosting qualities of the Frondoside A better than other producers, and uses no additives, so it stays more soluble and is better absorbed. The result is an all-natural, highly absorbable fine powder with no additives, preservatives or chemical fillers.
