These pre-filters are intended for use with the Blueair Blue Pure 411 Auto. Blue Pure 411+ (Plus) Prefilters are available separately. Both models use the same primary Blueair 411 series internal filter.
The pre-filters for the Blue Pure Auto series are produced in two shades of gray and three colours, to fit a variety of décors. It's easy to swap them out, to match either your mood or the room (if you happen to move it around from room to room from day to day or week to week).
To maintain the air purifier's optimal performance and energy consumption levels, you should vacuum them with a brush attachment (perhaps once a week, for some homes, or monthly, for others) while they're still situated on the machine, They can also be hand-washed or machine washed (at a low temperature, gentle cycle setting) and air dried, if they become a little dingy.
And to help keep the sightlines clean, the pre-filters for the Blue Pure Auto models include a kind of hidden compartment at the back of the machine with a Velcro-style fastener to tuck the power cord into, if you don't want to see the white cord dangling or want to cinch it up to reduce the chances of a person or pet tripping over it. (Be sure to press these Velcro strips together if you do elect to machine wash the prefilter, however, to keep them functional and prevent them from getting tangled up with other garments.)
Compatibility
There are currently three types of 411 models in North America which are visibly quite similar but differ slightly in the dimensions of the base the pre-filters fit onto. These ones are designed for the Auto version (which is also called the "Blue 3210" in some markets), not the 411+ (which has a wire frame around its base, so have a slightly larger circumference, which would make it harder to stretch these ones onto), or the original 411 (which does not). Blueair advises that these versions might fit the original 411 and its successor the 411+/JOY S alright, but would make them operate a little louder than the original stretchy filters for that model.
