Product Notes:
For those who may be ready to make the transition away from bagged to loose leaf tea but are still a little daunted by all the possibilities or put off by the prospect of making a mess, the BREWT Tea Infuser is the ideal solution (or gift).
Composition:
The container is made of BPA-Free, tough, durable, medical-grade Eastman Tritan, and the actual mesh filter at its bottom is made of Stainless Steel.
If you lose your filter or find it has become too discolored or possibly clogged to want to continue to use it, you can also buy Replacement Filters which are compatible both with this brand and with the tea infusers of the same design issued by other brands, including TEAZE. The dimensions of these filters are: a 6.1 cm exterior diameter for the top plastic ring; a 1.7 cm exterior diameter for the central ring; and a total length of 3.3 cm from top to bottom.
Easy to clean, is dishwasher safe.
Suggested Usage / Instructions:
The video (which uses a slightly different looking version than these completely transparent ones) illustrates how simple it is to use this type of infuser:
1) Just flip open the hinged lid by squeezing the tab above the handle with your thumb, and add the desired amount of your preferred loose tea to the empty vessel. (About 1 teaspoon per 8 oz cup, though that may vary for different blends or tastes.)
2) Pour in the hot water, and allow it to steep for between 1 and 5 minutes. (Please see the section below for the suggested temperatures and times, depending on the type of tea.)
3) Place the filled infuser over your chosen drinking cup after the allotted time; when it makes contact with the rim of the cup, it lifts an inner platform on the bottom to release the tea into the mug.
4) Lift the infuser off after dispensing as much as you want, and enjoy your tea.
