Product Notes:
Natural Plant & Mineral-Based Dishwasher Pacs - Tough on Grease - 0% Fragrance or Dyes
Dishwasher pods (which are also known as pacs) are of course single-use units of pre-measured amounts of concentrated detergent, sealed within a film made of the same stuff as Elmer's school glue, which dissolves in the water to release the cleaning agents. They're far more convenient to just pop into the soap tray, rather than having to measure and pour out a liquid, and some of them (like this) come in resealable pouches which take up a lot less room and are far more recyclable than plastic jugs or bottles.
But they're not all alike. Some contain chlorine bleach or other harsh chemicals, many have added dyes and fragrances, and some contain phosphates, which enter the wastewater and can harm water bodies and aquatic life. Not Eco-Max's. They're derived solely from natural, plant-based enzymes and mineral sources and oxygen-based bleach that will biodegrade once they finds its way back into the environment (including in septic tanks). They also have no added fragrance and thus emit a lower amount of VOCs (volatile organic compounds: gases) than some types, to help keep your home air cleaner.
Ingredients:
Sodium citrate, Sodium carbonate, Sodium carbonate peroxide, Sodium sulfate, Sodium polyaspartate, Sodium silicate, C12-14 Alcohols ethoxylated propoxylated, Citric acid, Protease enzyme, Amylase enzyme, and Polyvinyl alcohol.
Eco-Max is a 100% Canadian-owned family brand. This product is made in Canada; does not contain black plastics or difficult to recycle materials; and uses at least 95% Canadian packaging materials.
Suggested Usage:
First remove any remaining food from the surfaces of your dishes, and load dishwasher. Place one EcoMax pac into the dishwasher detergent dispenser (ensure your hands are dry before handling); close the dispenser's cover, and reseal the bag; and start the wash cycle. It's important to enclose the pac within the dispenser to ensure the cleaners get released at the right time and temperature during the main wash.
Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children. Irritant: May irritate eyes or skin; do not get on skin or clothing, and rinse eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if it contacts the eyes. Harmful if swallowed; drink plenty of water and seek medical attention if that happens.
