Hawthorn has been used in Herbal Medicine for a very long time to help maintain and/or support cardiovascular health in adults. Some studies have found to be able to act as a tonic: to help relax the heart, lower the diastolic blood pressure in some (those with type II diabetes), and help produce a more regular heart beat. It's widely used in Europe by those with the initial stages of heart failure, and a systematic review of studies on it as an adjunct to other treatments found it could reduce shortness of breath and fatigue, enhance the heart's ability to use oxygen, and improve the heart's maximum workload and ability to tolerate exercise.

Each vegetarian capsule contains:
116 mg Hawthorn
extract (Crataegus laevigata) (4.5:1; Equivalent to 0.52 g hawthorn flower and leaf)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin and hypromellose.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take 3 to 4 capsules daily. Use for a minimum of two months to see beneficial results. Store at room temperature.
Warnings:
Keep out of reach of children. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you are taking cardiac glycosides such as digitalis/digoxin, or blood pressure medication. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist despite usage.
