Product Notes:
Studies have shown infants raised solely with baby formula tend to miss acquiring some types of healthy bacteria that are normally transmitted through breast milk, and also miss out on oligosaccharides, a fibrous substance in breast milk which nourishes bacteria and helps them adhere to the intestinal walls. Those can both affect the overall mix of friendly bacteria in the intestines, which assist with digestion and nutrient absorption, which in turn helps fortify the immune system. Accordingly, this probiotic supplement designed for formula-fed babies supplies not only four different strains of beneficial organisms, but also GOS, a close analogue to the oligosaccharides derived from cow's milk, as well as another type of prebiotic, FOS, a type of carbohydrate that's often derived from chicory root.
In addition to helping the digestive system, this product from Genestra may also reduce the risk of your child developing an atopic disease like eczema later in life, and reduce the chances of their developing an allergic response to eggs or cow's milk when those get introduced to their diet (if you administer it throughout the first 6 months).

"HMF" stands for "Human Micro Flora" (these probiotic strains are derived from humans).
Ingredients:
Each 1.1 g scoop contains:
a 10 billion CFU (Colony Forming Units) Probiotic Consortium, consisting of:
Ligilactobacillus salivarius (CUL-61): 6.25 billion CFU
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34) & Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20): 2.5 billion CFU
Lacticaseibacillus paracasei (CUL-08): 1.25 billion CFU
Other ingredients: Transgalactooligosaccharides (GOS) (derived from milk; these are a prebiotic fibre similar to the oligosaccharides which occur naturally in breast milk**), and fructooligosaccharides (or FOS, which acts as an energy source for the probiotics to help them flourish), as well as these final ingredients used to maintain the viability of the probiotics while still in the package: dipotassium phosphate, monopotassium phosphate, trehalose, sucrose, sodium chloride, maltodextrin.
Suggested Usage:
Children (1-4 years): Put one scoop of HMF Baby F in a glass, add water or milk, and mix. Take once daily with a meal, at least two to three hours before or after administering any antibiotics (if applicable), or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner.
Store under refrigeration (below 8C).
Warnings:
Do not use if intended recipient has an immune compromised condition. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use if they are experiencing nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain. If symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond three days, discontinue use and consult your healthcare practitioner.

Supporting Science:
In a clinical trial concerning whether probiotics prevented eczema, infants aged from zero to six months given the HMF Baby F probiotic formula did not have more visits to the doctor or "adverse events" incidence and were not assessed by their mothers as having worse health compared to the control group; see: "Probiotics in the prevention of eczema: a randomised controlled trial."
