Daycares and schools are veritable germ factories, producing around six bouts of coughs and colds per year in young children, often requiring them to stay home (and their caregivers to miss work) around 14 days a year. Although nothing can entirely eliminate that problem, HMF Fit for School has been clinically proven to be able to provide a dramatic improvement: by cutting both the total number of days with upper respiratory tract infection symptoms and the number of days missed because of them nearly in half.

Product Notes:
From an average of 43 days with symptoms such as sneezing, sore throat, cough, runny and blocked nose in the entire control group of 3 to 6 year-old children, down to 22 days in the matching treatment group; and from an average of 14 days absent from school or daycare because of those symptoms in the group taking a placebo, compared to an average of 7.5 days for the group taking this blend of probiotics and vitamin C each day, over a six month period.
The study, published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2014), is entitled "Probiotics and vitamin C for the prevention of respiratory tract infections in children attending preschool: a randomised controlled pilot study."
Genestra Brands HMF Fit for School is a combination of four well-tolerated strains of probiotics of human origin (the acronym stands for: Human Micro Flora) plus vitamins C and D, to help bolster the immune system and reduce the incidence and lessen the duration of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) symptoms.
It comes in a choice of chewable tablets which are suitable for children aged four and up (who are old enough not to choke on them and are apt to enjoy their delicious natural strawberry-vanilla flavour), or as a flavorless powder, which can be given to children as young as one year old, when mixed with water or their favourite juice.
