Info: Available in 3 Types / Strengths; One Size Fits All
Providing a complete and convenient hand exercise, The Handmaster Plus works on two critical aspects at once, whether for rehab or prevention, or to improve your performance level in activities that rely on hand, wrist, and/or elbow strength and dexterity.
The "All-in-One" Hand Exercise Solution
Some people squeeze tennis balls to build grip strength, keep fingers nimble, or recover from injuries, but that's just a piecemeal solution with a narrow range of development. The patented Handmaster Plus exercises the hand through its full, natural, 3-dimensional range of motion. The result is improved performance and reduced risk of injury through a simple rehabilitative and exercise product. It's the most complete, convenient and cost effective product in the hand fitness marketplace today.
Strength. Balance. Stability.
A rubbery squeezable ball with silicone straps for the thumb and fingers threading through it, the Handmaster Plus has been adopted as a critical rehab, strengthening, and performance protocol for tendonitis and a host of other conditions in over 60 countries.
The Handmaster Plus comes in three firmness levels, which require correspondingly more strength to use, and are designed for different levels of rehabilitation or strength training. Each of these models addresses both:
(1) the strength and stability of the nine hand-closing, ‘grip-action’ muscles: i.e., finger flexors and adductor muscles, located on the front of the hand, wrist & elbow; and,
(2) the strength and stability of the nine hand-opening muscles and the ‘grip-stabilizer’ muscle chain: i.e., the finger extensors and abductor muscles, located on the back of the hand, wrist & elbow.
In order to truly maximize your grip strength and the stability and performance of the fingers, thumb, hand, wrist, carpal tunnel, forearm and elbow, those 9 different, relatively neglected muscles which open the hand must be strengthened and balanced along with those 9 closing muscles which get all the attention with just a gripping ball.
The Soft version makes it easy and enjoyable to do entry-level training exercises for the fingers, thumb, hand, wrist, and elbow in a controlled fashion. It's perfect to address general weakness, or for workplace injury prevention, or for early stage exercise rehabilitation of a whole host of conditions, including:
- RSI (repetitive strain injuries) and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Tennis Elbow / Golfer's Elbow
- Sprains, Strains, Bruises, or Jammed Fingers
- Trigger Finger or Trigger Thumb
- Post-Surgery Rehabilitation
- Arthritis / Osteoporosis
- Stroke, RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome, a form of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), or neurological concerns
- Diabetes, Raynaud's Syndrome or Disease, & Circulatory concerns
The Medium version is perfect for late stage exercise rehabilitation of all the finger, thumb, hand, wrist, carpal tunnel, forearm and elbow conditions listed above. Or if you routinely use your hands to grip or grasp objects in a sport, a musical pursuit, or in the workplace or a hobby or a craft, it's almost a given that you'll develop a muscle imbalance which may put your performance or even your health at risk. This Medium model makes it simple to do hand muscle strengthening and performance training to counteract those risks. It's your super-easy hand strength training, performance and balance solution for activities such as:
- Extensive Computer Use
- Smartphone & Video Games
- Workplace Ergonomics
Finally, the Firm version is the most advanced of these hand muscle grip strengthening and balancing solutions, but it only recommended for those who have already mastered or shown themselves to be able to use the Medium version easily through its FULL ranges of motion (where the hand closes and opens FULLY, alternating 1 second each) for one minute, without suffering pain or fatigue. This model is professionally recommended for advanced hand grip strength and finger exercise training for Sports, Music, Fitness, or the Workplace.
