Product Notes:
As soon as the weather turns cold and dry, many of us are prone to developing sore throats and/or coughs, and we've probably all been told by well-meaning family members and acquaintances to take some honey to relieve them. Turns out, there's a lot behind that traditional practice: honey not only has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties, but it can also serve as a cough suppressant, too. Of course, we're usually counseled to take it in hot water or tea, but lozenges can also be quite an effective and a far more convenient delivery system, especially if you're at work or out and about.
These Canadian-made lozenges are made almost entirely from honey of the highest quality, with just a touch of menthol in one type and a bit of added flavour (Mixed Berry, for the Elderberry type, and Citrus for the one with Vitamin C) to complement the other herbal ingredient traditionally used to relieve colds or flus and/or upper respiratory tract infections that are featured in each one (Echinacea, in the Immune Boost lozenges, along with the two nutrients well-known to help maintain immune-system function: Vitamin C and Zinc).
