The Brig features kybun's new Strato Outdoor sole, which combines the tread pattern of their recent Cumulus hiking sole (which has dozens of rugged lugs or knobs in its tread, with 1/2 cm deep channels around them, to provide strong, non-slip traction on a wide range of surfaces), with the newly improved shape of a Strato sole (which still has plenty of shock-absorbing cushioning support, but it is contoured a little differently to curve up at the toes and heel a little to give it a better roll-through action and make it more pleasurable to walk in).
Recommended Sizing Guidance
Most of kybun's other shoes are fairly wide so you can either get your normal size or sometimes even a size smaller, but that's not the case for this particular model, despite its fairly wide sole, since it has a sneaker-style upper. In this case, they suggest customers should actually try one size bigger than usual (i.e., either 1/2 a U.S. size or 2/3 of a European size bigger than your normal size).
These shoes come equipped with an extra removable insole, to provide additional cushioning during the warmer months, which you might want to remove during the colder months if you want to put on an additional pair of socks and find them too snug.
