The Magglingen was the first kybun shoe to appear on the new Tropo sole. This is an all-rounder with an elegant design which can add "that certain something" both to your everyday routine and to sports activities, featuring a mesh upper with plenty of ventilation, and a lower profile type of sole than other types of kybun shoes to permit a broader range of activities while still providing good cushioning and grip.

This shoe is suitable for vegans, being made solely with non-animal materials.

The "Tropo" sole has a lower profile than the other types of kybun soles to make it more stable, in order to enable a greater range of activities while wearing them (including running or playing some sports). And to compensate for the resulting loss of some of the air-cushioning effect, it comes with a replaceable heel-cushioning insert. Please see our About the kybun Cirrus Sole article for more information about that. The Tropo has also been designed to roll better in the backfoot area.
"Magglingen" is the German name for Macolin (which is the French name for it), one of the two villages which make up the bilingual municipality of Evilard / Leubringen in the Canton of Bern in kybun's home country of Switzerland. The Swiss Federal Institute of Sports (a division of their Federal Office of Sport [FOSPO]) is based there.
