Neem oil has incredible health and beauty benefits. It contains many fatty acids and nutrients like Vitamin E, and has antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, and antiviral properties which can help relieve many skin conditions. It can even help your plants!

Product Notes:

Neem oil penetrates deeply into the skin, without feeling greasy, and can either be used on its own or in combination with other skin and hair products to protect the skin or relieve dryness or irritations.

Neem is a type of evergreen tree native to India whose scientific name is Azadirachta indica. Its various parts (bark, leaves, seeds, roots, flowers, and fruits) have all been used medicinally for a variety of purposes for many generations.

Neem oil, which is extracted from the seeds, has many beneficial topical uses, including some which help fend off the appearance of premature aging: relieving dry skin; protecting the skin from both external environmental damage and internal free-radicals (it contains carotenoids which act as antioxidants); and helping to rejuvenate skin cells and restore elasticity.

Neem oil can also help address a variety of other skin conditions, including: eczema; athletes foot, nail fungus, and ringworm (by neutralizing fungus and bacteria, and relieving inflammation and irritation); acne (since it contains a compound similar to aspirin which can remove the bacteria which causes that, and has fatty acids which can help prevent acne scarring); or even head lice.

Of course, neem oil's many uses are not confined to people... it can also help plants. Some of its gardening applications (whether outdoors or for potted plants - it's safe for both, including for edible plants) include: as an insecticide to reduce pests such as tent caterpillars; as a repellent, for aphids, mealybugs, scale insects, spider mites, and whiteflies; and as a fungicide, whether as a means of preventing powdery mildew or black spot, root rot, or sooty mold. It can also serve as a leaf shine or leaf polish, or to remove any buildup of dust or dirt from the leaves (just spray it on, mixed with water, and follow up by wiping with a clean cloth, to produce a shiny finish).

Ingredients:

100% Pure Neem Oil. Certified Organic.

Suggested Usage:

Shake well, and then apply a few drops directly onto the affected areas, and massage it into the skin.

You can also add two or three drops of Neem Oil to your favorite lotion, shampoo or conditioner.

For gardening purposes, you can mix 1-1/2 teaspoons of pure Neem oil into one litre of lukewarm water plus one teaspoon of a mild liquid soap like Dr. Bronner's (which serves as an emulsifier to help the oil and water mix better), and dispense it with a spray bottle. Avoid doing so in high temperatures or on very sunny days, however, because it may make the foliage more sensitive to heat and sun. (It is better to do it in the evening (for outdoor plants), or with the blinds or window drapes drawn (for indoor plants).)

Neem Oil's high concentration of essential fatty acids causes it to solidify at room temperature. This actually helps to extend its shelf life. To return it to a liquid state, simply warm the bottle in your pocket or in a mug with warm water.

Warnings:

Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Keep neem oil away from sensitive areas.
