Product Notes:
Although they use many of the same pure, natural, vegetable-based ingredients as their soaps, these bars are genuine shampoos and conditioners (except with the water removed, and with no extra thickeners), not soaps: they have the right pH balance (about 6) to be safe for long-term use on the hair and scalp (whereas most regular soap has a pH of about 10), and the conditioners have extra ingredients to help soften, detangle and defrizz the hair.
But rather than needing big plastic bottles or tubes to contain them (which contaminate the environment to make and take forever to degrade) and consuming a lot more resources to ship because of their heavy water content, they are light, and come in recyclable cardboard boxes.
Yet they go a long way: used as directed, each bar is the equivalent of about a 500 ml bottle of shampoo or conditioner, making these only about two-thirds of the price of several of our other brands, on a per use basis!
About Each Type:
Amla Sandalwood, For Normal Hair: Enriched with amla fruit, which is replete with vitamins and minerals to help stimulate healthy hair growth, and featuring the calming aroma of Indian sandalwood.
Apple Cider, For Normal Hair: Enriched with Moroccan Argan Oil to hydrate the hair and help keep it smooth and shiny and rice protein to strengthen and protect it, and featuring the Apple Cider vinegar, both for its fragrance and cleansing ability.
Citrus Dazzle, A Clarifying Shampoo For Oily Hair: Enriched with Lemon Protein, both for its aroma and for its ability to remove oily build-up and impart strength and shine. The Conditioner Bar also adds strengthening rice protein, and like the other Conditioners, uses a non-silicone, vegetable based hair detangler.
Coconut Cream, For Normal to Dry Hair: Enriched with Coconut Oil, for extra moisturizing, and fortified with rice protein for strengthen and protect the hair.
Curly Q Vanilla, For Dry Hair: Enriched with Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter to help soften the hair and give it more shine and bounce (and curls!), and featuring a comforting light vanilla scent.
Wildwoods, For Normal Hair: Enriched with Cocoa Butter to help soften the hair and rice protein to strengthen it, this type is also suitable for facial hair (whether for washing a beard, or to prepare it for shaving it off), and features a slightly woody scent from pine trees, especially in the conditioner.

Suggested Usage:
Shampoo Bars: Wet your hair, first. For a full shampoo, rub the bar directly onto the wet hair to dissolve it and make it lather. Massage the lather into the hair and scalp, then rinse clean.
Or, for just a light wash (or for a shave, for the Wildwoods kind, which is also suitable for washing beards), just rub the bar between your hands to create a lather, and then apply that lather to the hair.
Conditioner Bars: After shampooing, rub the conditioning bar into the still wet hair, starting from the top of your head and moving downwards. Massage the conditioner in. Rinse well.
For either type, it is important to KEEP THE BAR DRY between uses to prolong its lifespan. Store it on a slotted tray or something similar so that it does not stay on a pool of water.
